In 1971, auditioning for the ESU Music Department set me on a whole new path. Starting on clarinet and eventually switching to classical guitar. Dimitri Erdely (shown), from Russia, was Edinboro's classical guitar instructor at this time. He had my attention from day one. My only other guitar teacher was Mikhail Pikaluv, also Russian. Dr. Leroy Williams started my Music Theory experience . ALL GREAT TEACHERS!
I played in a Disco/Show band in the early 1970's. It was a real learning experience writing charts for Bb and Eb horns. Our management team included George David Weiss. Many thanks to my father George Kuhn
and especially Don Elbaum who put us in touch with the right people.
Now, I am concentrating on Classical and finger style Guitar. I have an older standard song on ReverbNation.com (just for fun). This is a 1941 Martin Classical guitar, I first heard it expertly played by Carl Pastore at our meetings.
Thanks go out to his kind daughter, Tina !
